Kentucky volleyball has earned a bid in the NCAA Tournament and will host Duquesne on Friday at 7:30 pm. The Cats are a #15 seed and will host the first and second rounds at Memorial Coliseum on Friday and Saturday. It is a school-record ninth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance for the Cats.
“It’s a great feeling,” UK head coach Craig Skinner said. “Our kids played really hard this year, we had a great schedule. We had a lot of good wins throughout the year. To be in a position to be on your home court, to host the first and second round, is a great feeling. Our kids are excited and we feel like we’ve earned it.”
Lexington has been selected as an NCAA Regional Site Dec. 13-14, giving UK the opportunity to play at home up to the Final Four. Regional winners will advance to the semifinals and final hosted by Washington at KeyArena in Seattle, Wash., on Dec. 19 and 21.
