Arizona State’s nonconference men’s basketball schedule is close to getting a significant upgrade.
According to a source, ASU officials are in discussion with Kentucky to play the Wildcats at Rupp Arena next season. The two schools then would play at a neutral site during the 2016-17 season. No contract has been signed, but the two sides appear close to making it happen.
Arizona State is now coached by former Duke star Bobby Hurley, who coached Buffalo last season at Rupp Arena.
