UK Hoops’ Makayla Epps was involved in a car accident Saturday night, Matthew Mitchell confirmed during a postgame press conference on Sunday. Epps was returning from a funeral and lost control of her car, flipping it “a couple of times” on the Bluegrass Parkway according to Mitchell. Epps was evaluated after the accident with a neck strain, and added she is “just really blessed.” The freshman guard scored 8 points and 3 rebounds in 18 minutes in the Cats’ win over ETSU.
