Tyler Ulis says Basketball Produces the Best Athletes

Jason Jordan of USA Today recently spoke with four-star point guard and Kentucky commit Tyler Ulis about which sport produces the best athletes.

Marian Catholic (Matteson, Ill.) point guard Tyler Ulis has a very plausible reason why he thinks that basketball produces the best athletes.

“Think about it,” said Ulis, a Kentucky commit. “In most other sports you can get away without having one or two athletic attributes. Not in basketball. You have to have them all. I’m not saying basketball because I love it; it’s because it’s true.”

Still not a believer?

Here are more of Ulis’ reasons why he’s picking hoops.

Why is the ultimate athlete in your sport?

“In basketball you have to be able to pass, shoot, dribble, jump, run and think the game through. That uses every part of athleticism that you can think of.”

Tyler is right, in basketball you must have five athletic players on the floor to have a good team.
