Louisville Trinity moved on to Saturday’s City of Palms Classic quarterfinals as they beat Chatsworth Sierra Canyon.
Here is a recap from News-Press.com:
Louisville (Ky.) Trinity’s experience and maturity paid off on Thursday.
Playing against a team that does not start a senior, Trinity rode its eight seniors to a 70-59 victory over Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon behind a team-high 14 points from senior Christian Thieneman to earn a spot in a quarterfinal game Saturday.
The Shamrocks outscored Sierra Canyon 15-5 in the third quarter and never looked back.
“It was a tough game and both teams were very physical,” Trinity coach Mike Szabo said. “Our defense was really good. That was the difference.”
