Lyon County star Travis Perry, who holds an offer from the University of Kentucky, is just 20 points shy of King Kelly Coleman’s high school scoring record.
That means Perry will have a great opportunity to break the all-time scoring record at Rupp Arena during the Sweet 16. The stage doesn’t get any bigger than that in Kentucky high school basketball.
The Lyons, winners of 16 straight games, will battle Newport in the first round of the tournament at 1:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 16.
