There was a lot of transfer portal news in recent days, so I thought I’d make a quick post of a few things to watch.
First, North Carolina guard Caleb Love is nearing a final decision and he is reportedly down to Indiana or Missouri.
Next, Oral Roberts star Max Abmas entered the portal today. Abmas is a big-time scoring machine that averaged 21.9 points this season, 22.8 points last season and 24.5 points in 2020-21. He has already scored 2,562 points in his career at Oral Roberts.
There’s a good chance Abmas will follow his coach to Wichita State, but you can bet that most (if not all) teams in college basketball would love to have him.
There are a few reports floating around that Kentucky has reached out to Oregon transfer Kel’el Ware, a former McDonald’s All-American and top 10 prospect.
Ware is 7-feet tall and athletic (think Willie Cauley-Stein mold).
