Trail Blazers’ Shaedon Sharpe won’t need surgery for labral tear

Rookie guard Shaedon Sharpe will not require surgery to repair a small labral tear in his left shoulder, the Portland Trail Blazers announced last week.

Sharpe, who suffered the injury during his debut in the NBA Summer League, is expected to fully recover and be ready for fall training camp.

Sharpe suffered the injury in Portland’s first NBA 2K23 Summer League game July 7, and he was shut down for the rest of the team’s stay in Las Vegas.


The Trail Blazers said Sharpe will continue rehabilitation and is expected to be ready for fall training camp.
