A football game in Canada last night was decided by a missed field goal.
With the game tied 19-19, the Toronto Argonauts lined up for a potential game-winning field goal. The kick was wide left, but the Argonauts were still rewarded one point due to a bizarre rule in Canadian football.
In the CFL, the kicking team is awarded one point (it’s called a rouge) if the team either misses a field goal or punts the football, and the receiving team does not get the ball out of their end zone. Or, a team can score a rouge if the ball goes through the end zone and out of bounds without being touched on a missed field goal or punt.
The Toronto Argos beat the Saskatchewan Roughriders 20-19 in an EXTREMELY close game!!

Also in Canada, it seems to be okay to tackle an offensive player by the hair:
Sometimes in sport the difference in winning and losing might be the width of a hair.
