Tyus Battle has cut his list to 7 schools and Kentucky wasn’t on his updated list.

This from Evan Daniels of Scout.com:

Battle’s father – Gary Battle – informed Scout that his son is down to Connecticut, Duke, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Syracuse.

“We are pretty comfortable with this list,” the elder Battle said. “We worked really hard on it.”

What went into making this list of seven?

“Definitely relationship was part of the process,” Battle said. “Everybody we had to have a good relationship with. Every school had to have a plan for him academically. That’s something we asked for the schools to do. That was really important and how they were going to play him. That was probably the biggest of all. He felt pretty comfortable with these schools, even though they have different views of how they would play him.”

According to Battle, each school mapped out how they would utilize his son. He said Syracuse, Notre Dame and Ohio State planned to play him more with the ball in his hands, while the other four told them they would play him in a wing role.

Kentucky had reportedly offered the 6’6″ shooting guard from New Jersey.

Other 5 star shooting guards that Kentucky has offered in the 2016 class are Josh Jackson and Malik Monk.
