In a stunning move, Tony Patterson has resigned as head boy’s basketball coach at Knox Central High School.
The resignation comes just over two weeks prior to the Panthers first regular season game.

Since the 2015-16 season, Patterson has lead the Panthers to six 51st District titles, and three 13th Region titles. Patterson finished with an overall record of 144-42 while at Knox Central.
UPDATE: After making a few calls, I’m going to say the situation at Knox Central isn’t final just yet. It sounds like the coach and AD have disagreed on a few topics, which played a part in the resignation. However, there are rumors of an emergency board meeting in the works. Stay tuned…
