Three Wildcats Reportedly Invited to NBA Combine

There have been multiple reports that Kentucky Basketball had three players get invited to the NBA Combine which takes place May 15-19 in Chicago.

PJ Washington, Tyler Herro and Keldon Johnson are the only 3 that were invited.

Nick Richards, EJ Montgomery and Reid Travis did not receive an invitation.

There are some specific guidelines for players that are and are not invited to the draft combine and 24/7 Sports breaks it down.

Players who elect to declare early for the NBA Draft have until the May 29 to withdraw from the draft and retain their college eligibility. Due to an NCAA rule change instituted this year, players are allowed to hire an agent without forfeiting their college eligibility. Players can also elect to return to school if they go undrafted, but this rule only applies to players who participated at the NBA Draft Combine.

The NBA Draft Combine is an invite-only, multi-day showcase where the best draft-eligible players will participate in physical measurements, interviews, drills, medical and athletic testing, and scrimmages in front of NBA scouts and front office personnel, who will be on hand to assess individual players in preparation for the 2019 NBA Draft. Generally, around 60 of the top draft prospects are invited to workout at the NBA Draft Combine, which will take place May 15-19 in Chicago.
