Wednesday night’s game between Davidson and North Carolina was temporarily delayed because foreign objects were falling from the ceiling.
According to reports, the substance appeared to be pieces of padding used to absorb leaks in the ceiling.
There is stuff falling from the Dean Dome rafters/ceiling so game was paused.

So according to UNC SID Matt Bowers, the confetti-like stuff was probably this: a padding used to absorb any leaks in the ceiling pic.twitter.com/z4xFXYMsGe

Perhaps the bigger issue for North Carolina is the number of fans at the game. The announced attendance was 13,178, which is about 60% capacity. Based on the video, it looks more like 8,000.
