John Clay over at the Herald-Leader pointed out after last night’s loss at Missouri that John Calipari is 66-34 over Kentucky’s last 100 games.
The Wildcats are 43-28 (not a misprint) since the start of the 2020-21 season (aka the COVID season).
Of course, the infamous COVID season ended with a bizarre 9-16 record, which skews the numbers quite a bit. Still, even ignoring that season, this just doesn’t look like Kentucky basketball as most True Blue fans know it.
Personally, I won’t give up on this team until the last game of the season ends and I still believe the team will turn things around. They being said, the hole is getting deep and even if they are playing better, it’ll be hard to win anything as an 8-seed.
The time for improvement is now. Can John Calipari get the train back on the tracks?
