Kentucky is now 2-0 on the season after handling Ohio Saturday 20-3. This is the first time since 2011 Kentucky has started a season 2-0.

The Good

* Kentucky’s uniforms. I really liked the grey jerseys with blue pants and the new look helmets.

* Ryan Timmons had his breakout game catching 10 passes for 95 yards. This kid is going to be special before he leaves Kentucky and starts playing on Sunday’s.

* Patrick Towles running ability. Towles carried the ball 22 times Saturday for 59 yards. I was impressed with Patrick’s ability to scramble even though he was sacked five times. I’m not sure Mark Stoops wants Towles running the ball that much.

* Boom Williams had 60 yards rushing on 5 carries including a 53 yard touchdown run. Williams showed just how explosive he can be.

* Kentucky’s overall rushing game. Kentucky rushed for 232 yards on 52 carries.

* Dorian Baker’s hit on an Ohio linebacker. Watch the hit by clicking here. Baker on the block

“I’m going out for a pass, thinking I’m about to get the ball. I see Patrick (Towles) taking off across the line of scrimmage, and a linebacker in pursuit. I said, ‘Oh, I’m about to take his head off.’”

* Kentucky Defense. Kentucky’s defense played much better against Ohio compared to the UT Martin game. Kentucky only allowed Ohio 223 yards of total offense. Last week against UT Martin, Kentucky allowed 398 yards of total offense.

* Josh Forrest had the best game of his career. Josh was in on four tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss.

* A.J. Stamps once again showed why he is one of the best defensive backs in the conference. Stamps had 5.5 tackles 1 pass breakup and 1 quarterback hurry.

The Bad

* Even though the offense moved the ball with ease, Kentucky had too many empty drives. You can’t have the ball inside the five yard line with four downs to score a touchdown and then have to settle for a field goal.

* Missing two easy field goals. Austin MacGinnis did connect on one from 53 yards in the second quarter, and you have to give him credit for that, but he missed from 28 yards and from 35 yards. MacGinnis has plenty of leg to kick the ball deep as he proved on kickoffs. He put four balls in the endzone for touchbacks. He just needs to be a little more accurate, and he will in time.

The Ugly

* The attendance continues to be down. 51,910 was the announced attendance for the game. I don’t think that many fans were in there, but the ones that were there was great. The stadium was as loud as I’ve heard it in a couple of years. There is no reason CWS should not be sold out. Mark Stoops has done an amazing job with this program, and the fans need to fill the stadium every Saturday and support this team.

* The rain that hit Commonwealth Stadium in the fourth quarter.
