The Dallas Cowboys Showed Up To Watch Dominique Hawkins in a Basketball Workout

Former UK guard Dominique Hawkins working out for the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday.

During the workout, scouts from the Dallas Cowboys showed up to watch Hawkins.

Here are details from the Courier-Journal:

The Dallas Cowboys arrived to see Hawkins, who averaged 4.7 points as a senior for the Kentucky Wildcats last season, at the Lakers workout facility in El Segundo, California, according to Hawkins high school basketball coach Allen Feldhaus Jr.

Hawkins starred on the basketball court and football field at Madison Central High School in Richmond, Kentucky before playing four seasons of basketball at Kentucky. He had the best max vertical leap (44.5 inches) and most 185-pound bench press reps (16) at the Wildcats preseason combine in October.

That helps explain the inquiries from people involved in two professional sports.
