Texas basketball has been hit with tragic news. Sophomore guard Andrew Jones has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
The Jones family released the following statement on the cancer diagnosis.
“After undergoing a number of tests and evaluations over the past week, Andrew has been diagnosed with leukemia. He has begun treatments, and we hope everyone will keep him in your thoughts and prayers. This is obviously a difficult situation for our family, and we hope everyone will respect our privacy at this time.”
The University of Texas announced the news Wednesday morning after Jones has missed the last two Big 12 Conference games with an undisclosed illness.
