At their pregame Midnight Yell event, Texas A&M’s student leader spent time trashing Appalachian State football players and people from Appalachia in general.
“They’re located deep, and I mean deep, in the backwoods,” the speaker stated. “Just like you would think any hillbilly college that names themselves the Mountaineers.”
The man then joked that “half of their football can barely even read the name on their jerseys.”

Of course, the Mountaineers did find their way to the stadium, where they beat the Aggies 17-14 and collected a check in the neighborhood of $1.5 million for accepting the game.
