If you changed the channel early you likely missed it, but Texas A&M nailed a meaningless 60-footer at the final buzzer tonight to change the final score from 85-71 to 85-74.
The significance?
The gambling lines on the game were mostly Kentucky -12.5 to -13.5. At 14 points, those who bet on Kentucky were set to win. At 11 points, those bet on A&M to cover scored a payday.
Kentucky & Texas A&M with a bizarre ending even though Kentucky won 85-74. Kentucky tosses the ball straight up to end it but the shot clock goes off. A&M hits a halfcourt shot off the inbounds to beat the buzzer.

If you got Kentucky at -12.5, you just got hit with the bad beat of the year. 60-footer from Texas A&M at the buzzer for an 85-74 Kentucky win.

Kentucky was 13.5 pt favorite over Texas A&M. Kentucky was leading 85-71 and would have covered by half a point had John Calipari not told his player to just shoot the ball which led to a shot clock violation. On the ensuing possession, A&M drains a 3 at the buzzer to cover.

Odd stuff? Absolutely.
