So Terrence addressed the critics, as is his right. I was hoping he would address his own actions, or lack thereof.
I for one have been impressed by the obvious work he has put in and the way he has stepped up for the team this year. But what happened to Terrence in Bloomington was not just an off game. It was a complete breakdown and disappearing act, beyond even the likes of Lebron James in last year’s NBA finals.
I would just like to know why, from his perspective, that happened. And I don’t feel like that makes me a hater.
If Kentucky is really going to contend for a title they need him to be a force on the floor. If not getting points in the paint, at least as a defensive presence and rebounder, but on Saturday, Jones just stood there at times, not even fighting for position.
I for one am still confused. I know in the end it is one game and this is a young man who is extremely talented, and whose maturity and mental game are still catching up to the obvious physical and natural talent he possesses. But this is not why Jones came back, in fact I believe this is the Jones that Cal told he didn’t want to see back.
