For a program that’s supposed to be an all-time great football program, Tennessee is having a tough time finding a head coach.
After Tennessee fans had an online riot to chase Greg Schiano away, Jason Witten said he isn’t actually interested in the job:

Then, Duke head coach (yes Duke football) David Cutcliffe said he isn’t interested:
Tennessee has reached out to David Cutcliffe about the Vols' head coaching job, but Cutcliffe informed UT officials that he wasn't interested and plans to finish his coaching career at Duke. The Blue Devils are bowl eligible for the 5th time in the last 6 years.

Now, Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy has spurned the Volunteers:
