Tennessee guard Zakai Zeigler files lawsuit for additional year of eligibility

Is it possible that Kentucky fans haven’t seen the last of Tennessee point guard Zakai Zeigler?

Believe it or not, Zeigler is suing the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility…and he might win.

In his lawsuit, Zeigler alleges the NCAA rule limiting athletes to four seasons of competition violates antitrust law, and that athletes should have five seasons of competition within their five-year eligibility window.

Zeigler played 30 more games per season in all four of his seasons at Tennessee. It would seem there’s no good argument for him to be awarded a fifth season, but anything is possible (and usually wrong) when the NCAA is involved.
