Tennessee assistant coach Rod Clark met with the media Monday to preview tonight’s game against Kentucky.
Clark said he has a lot of respect for Mark Pope. He admitted that Kentucky is tough to prepare for, but said it’s nothing they are overly worried about.
“So that makes it tough to prepare for ’em,” Clark said. “It makes you have to have a little bit more urgency when it comes to your closeout game, and helping the helper with guys when they drive the basketball. But, you know, we’ve played teams like this in the past, honestly. It’s different. They’re different teams, but like we prepare for Alabama that does some of the similar things as them over the years. So it’s not anything that we’re nervous about, and don’t feel like we can guard ’em.”
