Two Games on Saturday, Winning Teams Play on Monday
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Syracuse, Chattanooga, Wright State and Kentucky will be playing in Lexington, Ky., for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
The first round will be Saturday, March 22 at Memorial Coliseum, with Wright State taking on Kentucky at 11 a.m. Eastern time. Chattanooga and Syracuse will follow at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET. The winning teams will play a second-round game Monday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. for the right to advance to the Notre Dame Regional.
Wright State is the No. 14 seed in the region. The Raiders are 26-8 and won the Horizon League Tournament. Kentucky, a No. 3 seed, enters as an at-large selection with a 24-8 mark.
Syracuse is the region’s No. 6 seed, receiving an at-large bid while posting a 22-9 record. No. 11 seed Chattanooga is 29-3 this season and has won 25 in a row while sweeping the Southern Conference regular season and tournament.
All-session tickets are available at a cost of $36 for adults and $24 for youth (birth through age 18) and senior citizens (age 65 and up). Single session tickets for Saturday’s games or Monday’s game are $22 for adults and $15 for youth/seniors. Single-session tickets also are available for groups of 10 or more at a cost of $8 each. All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admission.
