Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Alexis Holmes win gold medals in 4x400m relay

Former University of Kentucky track stars Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Alexis Holmes have just won Olympic gold medals in the 4x400m relay.

McLaughlin-Levrone ran the second leg for the United States, while Holmes ran the anchor leg. The Americans cruised to victory with a time of 3:15:27.

The other members of the relay squad were Shamier Little and Gabby Thomas.

The time of 3:15.27 is a new American record and the second-fastest ever in world history, just off the 3:15.17 world record by Russia in the Seoul Olympics.
