The Ohio Valley Conference currently has a rare six-way tie for first place in the league standings.
Southeast Missouri State, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, Morehead State, Southern Indiana and SIU Edwardsville are all currently tied in OVC wins and losses with identical 5-3 records.
Obviously, there are tiebreakers in place, but it will be interesting to see how things play out.
There are some close races going on in OVC action (including a 6-way tie for first on the men’s side).

Tennessee Tech, which is coached by former Kentucky player John Pelphrey, had a chance to take possession of the league standings but lost in double overtime at SEMO last night:

Pelphrey isn’t the only coach with UK ties as Morehead State is coached by former John Calipari staffer Preston Spradlin.
The OVC is a league which rewards regular season play with byes and double byes based on league standings, which will make things even more interesting if things stay tight at the top:
The combination of SIUE’s rough week, Morehead State’s hot week, and Tennessee Tech’s double OT loss to SEMO created a six-way tie for first place in the #OVC
If things remain this way, it’s a brutal season for the ladder-style bracket. Tiebreakers could really swing chances. pic.twitter.com/aGrCe1PMyR
