The Kentucky Wildcats just pulled off an incredible 88-79 upset at Arkansas to lock up the 3-seed in the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
The Wildcats (21-10, 12-6 SEC) played without a true point guard with both Sahvir Wheeler and Cason Wallace out due to injuries.
CJ Fredrick started at the point and contributed 2 points and 4 assists. Adou Thierro added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in relief of Fredrick. Jacob Toppin even spent some time handling the ball and he finished with 21 points, 4 boards and 3 assists.
The offensive story for the Cats today, however, was Antonio Reeves. Reeves exploded for a career-high 37 points. He was 12-for-17 from the field and a perfect 11-for-11 at the free throw line.
Oscar Tshiebwe added 12 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out late in the second half.
The victory gives Kentucky a sixth Quad 1 win and helps make up for Wednesday’s home loss to Vanderbilt.
Up next for Kentucky is the SEC Tournament, where they will have a double bye to the quarterfinals.

Apparently the secret to getting the best out of Kentucky is to have everyone say they’re toast.
The wins at Tennessee and Arkansas are the best of the season — both when the Wildcats appeared hopeless.
