Seth Davis Releases Way Too Early Top 25 For 2019-20

Kentucky comes in at No. 4 in Seth Davis’ way too early top 25 for the 2019-20 college basketball season.

Here is an excerpt about the Wildcats:

4. Kentucky

Key departures: PJ Washington, 6-8 Soph.; Keldon Johnson, 6-6 Fr.; Tyler Herro, 6-5 Fr.; Reid Travis, 6-8 Sr.
Top returnees: Ashton Hagans, 6-3 Soph.; Nick Richards, 6-11 Jr.; Immanuel Quickley, 6-3 Soph.; E.J. Montgomery, 6-10 Soph.
Incoming: Tyrese Maxey, 6-3 Fr.; Kahlil Whitney, 6-6 Fr.; Keion Brooks, 6-7 Fr.
It’s always difficult to assess the Wildcats this time of year because players go to Lexington with the intent of turning pro as quickly as possible. But this could be one cycle where they return enough guys to give them a veteran feel for next season. That would be huge because John Calipari is bringing in yet another elite recruiting class.

Davis has Michigan State at No.1, Michigan at No. 2, Duke at No. 3 and Gonzaga at No. 5.
