Roy Williams spoke for over 9 minutes in his press conference after the loss to Kentucky. He gave well wishes to Alex Poythress, called Wildcats by their first names like he knew them his whole life, and complimented John Calipari about his use of the platoons.
But when asked about what he wrote on the board before the game, he didn’t appreciate to try and remember that.
This is the exact quote:
“It must not have worked, because I can’t freaking remember. That’s just being honest, give me a couple seconds. Right now, I’m too ticked off to think about any bullshit like that. Excuse my language.”
Don’t feel too bad Roy, I am sure there will be a lot more daggum coaches feeling the same way you felt yesterday in Rupp Arena this season.
