St. John’s men’s basketball head coach Rick Pitino weighed in on conference realignment over the weekend.
“It is now official football has taken over the country,” Pitino said in a Tweet on Friday. “All sports will be traveling 4-5 hours with many delays.”
This morning, Pitino chimed in again with a suggestion.
Pitino asked, “doesn’t it make more sense for football to break away to separate leagues and allow the rest of the sports to compete regionally?”
It is now official football has taken over the country – leagues will now decide what’s permissible n what’s not. All sports will be traveling 4-5 hours with many delays

Doesn’t it make more sense for football to break away to separate leagues and allow the rest of the sports to compete regionally? Rivalries remain n minor sports don’t spend half their day looking for bad food at airport restaurants!!!

Pitino has a point.
