Rick Pitino led St. John’s to an 80-66 win over No. 15 Creighton this afternoon.
After the game, Pitino gave some comments that were quite different than last week when he trashed all of his players after a loss.
“This is the closest group I’ve had since Providence,” Pitino said after today’s win. “I was trying to rattle their cage a little bit to get them to play like this tonight.”
