Rick Pitino calls first season at St. John’s ‘most unenjoyable experience of my lifetime’

Things are not going well for head coach Rick Pitino in his first season at the helm of St. John’s.

After today’s 68-62 home loss to Seton Hall, Pitino blasted everything from his own players to his facilities.

“We are so unathletic that we can’t guard anybody without fouling,” Pitino said. “I’ve always enjoyed the first year, and I’m not gonna lie to you…this is the most unenjoyable experience of my lifetime. This has been so disappointing.”

Pitino went on to destroy the university’s facilities.

“Do we have sh*tty facilities? Yes, we do,” Pitino said after the Red Storm choked away a 19-point lead. “But we’re doing something about that. But that’s not the reason we’re losing. Having sh*tty facilities has nothing to do with not guarding.”

After today’s disappointing loss, St. John’s is 14-12 overall and just 6-9 in the Big East Conference.
