According to multiple reports, the NCAA cleared Olivier Sarr to play at Kentucky about two months ago.
At this point, Kentucky is waiting for approval from the Southeastern Conference and it appears there is at least one SEC coach who is trying to block Sarr’s immediate eligibility:
BBN FYI the @NCAA has cleared OLIVIER SARR about 2 months ago to be eligible to play but the holdup is that the @SEC must grant a waiver due to a rule they have that states if a player that transfers has 1 yr of eligibility he must sit out . However the SEC can grant a waiver .

I also know of at least one SEC coach who has spent some time banging the drum to the league this summer against Sarr getting that waiver. https://t.co/RcCaMayGoC

Any guesses at which coach is trying so hard to prevent Sarr’s waiver?
