There was an unusual sight in North Carolina’s game at Florida State earlier tonight.
It appeared that one of the referees attempted to warn a Carolina player that the shot clock was close to expiring.

What was the referee actually doing?
While is appeared the official was trying to warn the player with the ball, it is likely he was letting the referee on the far side of the court know that the clock was getting low.
