Former Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard lived up to the hype of a top three pick in his NBA Summer League debut tonight.
Sheppard led the Rockets to a 99-80 victory over the Lakers in his first taste of NBA action. The former Kentucky Mr. Basketball finished with a team-high 23 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocked shots and a steal in the win.
Dalton Knecht led the Lakers with 25 points. Bronny James chipped in 8 points.
Unfortunately for Knecht, this also happened:
