The Cincinnati Reds finally got on the board for the first time in 30 innings but couldn’t score more than the Pirates in a 6-5 loss in 10 innings.
Kyle Farmer broke the seal for the Reds in the 3rd inning with a 2 run homer as they took the lead 2-1.

The game went back and forth as the Pirates led 5-4 after 7 innings.
Joey Votto then hit a bomb in the 8th to tie it up at 5.

The Reds couldn’t get off the snide though as the Pirates scored off of Raisel Iglesias in his 3rd inning of relief in the 10th.
The loss dropped the Reds to 1-7. Pirates improved to 4-3.
The Reds will be back in action Sunday at 1:35pm in Pittsburgh.
