Randolph Morris and his Beijing Duck teammates received their rings and gold medals for winning last seasons CBA Championship. The ceremony was held on Saturday prior to their season opener against Guangdong.

Morris joined the Beijing Ducks in 2010 and has become the most dominant big-man in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He and teammate Stephon Marbury led the Ducks to their first ever CBA Championship in 2012. In 2014, the Ducks won their second championship, and Morris was named the Finals MVP.

The game featured the professional debut of former Kentucky target Emmanuel Mudiay, who made news this summer with his decision to forgo college and instead spend a year playing professionally in China with Guangdong. Mudiay signed a one-year contract with Guangdong reportedly worth $1.2 million dollars and a lucrative full partnership deal with Under Armour.

Beijing defeated Guangdong, 103-89, behind 32 points from Stephon Marbury and 22 points and 6 boards from Morris. Mudiay came off the bench to score 18 points, grab 8 rebounds and dish out two assists.

The game was played in front of yet another sold out crowd of 18,000 at Beijing’s MasterCard Center.
