Rajon Rondo is Ready to Play For the Celtics Friday

rajon rondo charlotte

Former Kentucky guard Rajon Rondo appears to be ready to take the floor again for the Boston Celtics. Rondo tore his ACL last season and has been working to get back on the court before the All-Star break and it appears he will try to play for the Celtics Friday night against the Lakers.

He sent out this tweet last night.

Lang Whitaker of NBA.com explains the tweet.

What was Rondo referring to? Well, if you do the math, 29,233,380 seconds works out to about 338 days. On Friday night, the Celtics host the Lakers, and if you count backward from tip time on Friday, 338 days is the length of time to when Rondo suffered his injury. According to ESPN Boston, it’s actually the exact amount of time from the actual surgery, which took place at 11:07 AM.

Hopefully he has a successful return, if he plays Friday night.
