Kentucky travels to Nashville this Saturday with a chance to play the role of spoiler. Vanderbilt is 5-4 on the season and with a win over Kentucky they will be bowl eligible.

Vandy is a 13 point favorite heading into Saturday’s game against the Wildcats, and coming off a big win against Florida.

Kentucky has played very well on the road this season, with two close losses coming at the hands of South Carolina and Mississippi State. Kentucky had a chance to win both games, but couldn’t execute in the end.

Could this week be different?

Predictions:

Here is what Jon and Kevin from SaturdayDownSouth.com think about UK-Vandy.

Kentucky at Vanderbilt (-13) Jon: Vanderbilt plays good, sound football. It’s nothing spectacular but they feast off your mistakes, and Kentucky makes too many mistakes. The Commodores win and cover at home. Vanderbilt 35, Kentucky 17 Kevin: In the non-exciting SEC matchup of the week (no offense meant to either fan base), I’ll take Vanderbilt to win, but not cover the spread. Vanderbilt 24, Kentucky 14..

Chris Low and Edward Aschoff from ESPN make their predictions.

KENTUCKY at VANDERBILT

Low: There used to be a time when Vanderbilt hated to see the month of November coming. The Commodores were always too beaten down physically to finish the season with any pop. Those days are long gone, as James Franklin has guided this program to six straight wins in November. Vanderbilt will make it seven in a row Saturday at home against Kentucky. … Vanderbilt 31, Kentucky 17

Aschoff: These programs are going in opposite directions right now. Vandy is riding high after its first win at Florida since 1945, while the Wildcats will miss a bowl game for the third straight year. Vandy will inch closer to potentially having back-to-back eight-win seasons. … Vanderbilt 38, Kentucky 14

Nobody in the national media are giving Kentucky a chance to win, in fact they are predicting Kentucky to get blown out. I just don’t see that happening.

Here is my prediction.
