Kentucky and LSU will battle for a third time this season tonight in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament and UK is a 4.5 point favorite. LSU is the one team that matches up with Kentucky and a team that I didn’t want to see the Wildcats have to face. Johnny O’Bryant and Anthony Hickey need to be contained tonight for Kentucky to have a chance to win this game. Hickey was on fire against UK in Rupp when he fouled out.
The key to this game is going to be Julius Randle. In two games against LSU Randle has scored a total of 14 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, the LSU big men have controlled the paint.
Kentucky is going to have to run some kind of offense, they can’t be standing around the perimeter and passing the ball, they need to spread the floor and work the ball inside to Randle and Johnson and that could lead to open jumpers.
Andrew and Aaron Harrison are going to have to be able to stop the LSU guards. Anthony Hickey is a good player and usually has his best game against Kentucky.
