UK Hoops invited fans and media in to share in the NCAA Selection Show experience. The Cats provided the meal while fans provided the atmosphere, waving metallic pompoms and cheering when Kentucky’s name was called.
Coach Mitchell credited an extremely difficult schedule for the Wildcats grabbing a somewhat surprising No. 2 seed in the Albany Regional. Kentucky was predicted as a No. 4 seed.
The Wildcats (23-9) will face 15-seeded Tennessee State in the first round Friday, March 20 in Memorial Coliseum. The game will air live on ESPN2 at 2:30 p.m. ET
