UK Hoops got a big win in front of a sold out Memorial Coliseum as they beat regular season champion Tennessee 78-65.
It was Senior Day for A’dia Mathies and she made the most of it scoring 16 points, 4 steals and 2 blocks. With four steals, has now tallied 303 in her career, which ranks third all-time in school history.
Jennifer O’Neill also had 16 points and Denesha Stallworth had 12.
Tennessee was led in scoring by Meighan Simmons’ 17 points.
With the win, head coach Matthew Mitchell earned his 139th career victory, making him UK’s all-time winningest coach in just six seasons (139-60). His winning percentage of.698 also is first.
