John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats faced off against Bobby Hurley’s Buffalo Bulls Sunday in Rupp Arena. The Cats won 71-52, but not without some physical competition from the feisty Bulls. Buffalo took a 38-33 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Trey Lyles and Tyler Ulis led the Wildcats with 12 points each, Ulis also added six assists. Freshman Devin Booker finished with ten points.
UK dominated the boards 45-25, Dakari Johnson had 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Willie Cauley-Stein pulled down ten rebounds.
Kentucky returns to action on Tuesday as the Wildcats take on Kansas in Indianapolis at 9:00 p.m. as part of the Champions Classic. The game will be televised by ESPN.
