[COLOR=#000000][COLOR=black]LEXINGTON, Ky. – [/COLOR]Coach Joker Phillips and safety/linebacker Winston Guy have been honored for their efforts in Kentucky’s 10-7 win over Tennessee on Saturday.[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000]Phillips was one of five who received an “SEC Helmet Sticker” from Chris Low, Southeastern Conference beat writer for ESPN.com. [/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000]Low wrote, “ … the Wildcats managed to do something Saturday they hadn’t done since Phillips was a senior receiver at Kentucky in 1984. They [URL=”http://espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=313300096″][COLOR=windowtext]beat Tennessee[/COLOR][/URL] after 26 straight defeats to the Vols. Not only that, but the Wildcats did it with a senior receiver, [URL=”http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/382896/matt-roark”][COLOR=windowtext]Matt Roark[/COLOR][/URL], filling in at quarterback and attempting just six passes. Roark rushed for 124 yards.”[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000]Guy was Honorable-Mention Defensive Back of the Week from the College Football Performance Awards. Guy totaled a season-high 14 tackles, including two tackles for loss, and shared a quarterback sack on the final possession of the game that clinched the victory for the Wildcats.[/COLOR]
