The 2011-2012 team has not even played one game and has already caused the ‘experts’ of college basketball much consternation as to whether they can win a title with so many freshman, how to compare them to teams with more upper classman, and even how to compare the players on the team to one another.
[I]I would rather be right than stubborn, look smart than dumb. [/I]CBS’ Gary Parrish said about switching his preseason SEC POY pick from Davis to Jones. He stated that Jones’ 52 point performance in the Blue-White scrimmage is what caused him to pull a Brett Favre on his pick.
Parrish also says …[I]watch out if Jones and Davis ever get to clicking at the same time. That’s the type of thing that could give John Calipari his first national championship.[/I]
Again, Parrish says (for now) that the SEC is no. 3 in the land, Kentucky will take the SEC Crown and Jones will be the conference’s Player Of the Year (though he believes Davis is likely to go No. 1 in next year’s draft…if there is one…and the age restricition isn’t raised to 20)
