If you look around the internet, Kentucky has become a trendy pick to upset LSU at Death Valley tonight.
24/7 Sports is not one of those sites that think the Wildcats have any shot of competing in Baton Rouge.
Here is their prediction:
After topping Louisiana-Monroe last week, the Wildcats will face a different level of challenge from a Pelican State team this Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. There is no doubt that Kentucky is vastly-improved in Year 2 under Mark Stoops, but there also is little doubt that this is an LSU team- coming off of a 30-27 win at Florida, that is hitting its stride. The Wildcats defense must play better against the run than it did two weeks ago in a 45-38 win against South Carolina, where the Gamecocks rushed for nearly 300 yards in Lexington- otherwise this may be another showcase game for LSU freshman running back Leonard Fournette. Expect UK to make a good showing, but winning in Baton Rouge right now may be a bridge too far for the young Cats.
Prediction: LSU 27, Kentucky 10
ATS: LSU covers
Over/Under: Under
In my book, losing by 17 and only scoring 10 points is not considered a good showing.
