On3 Sports Currently projects Kentucky to make the NCAA Tournament despite a number of recent close losses.
The Wildcats (18-12, 5-7 SEC) are currently projected as a No. 3 seed in the Tucson Regional with No. 1 Arizona, No. 2 UC Irvine and No. 4 Fresno State.
Arizona is projected as the No. 13 overall seed in the tournament.

We have another conference with a new projected champion this week, with Arizona taking over the Big 12 crown and joining the hosting mix as a result. The Wildcats are 22-9 overall, 8-4 in the Big 12 and No. 12 in RPI, and might be poised for another strong surge. UC Irvine is another team that is in the mix to host, if they continue to dominate in Big West play and win that league.
While the Wildcats are currently in the mix to make the tournament, Nick Mingione and his team know they must get some wins out of some tough SEC series that are coming up on the schedule.
