Nerlens Noel spoke with Braden Gall of Athlon Sports about the upcoming NBA Draft and his one year at Kentucky.

Noel also spoke about Coach John Calipari and what it was like to adjust from living in Boston and moving to Lexington.

BG: What was the best part of playing for John Calipari?

NN: I’d have to say the number one best part of playing for coach Cal… I mean, it was all fun really. The moments you have with him are really enjoyable. Really, just practice everyday. He pushes you to be the best player you can be and he really brings you along.

BG: What’s the worst thing about playing for coach Cal?

NN: The worst thing? There’s nothing really too bad, but he’s just really hard on you so you definitely have to be prepared for that. From the 6 a.m. [practices] to the conditioning, I mean, he definitely pushes you. But you can’t really see that as the worst because when he pushes you it going to make you better.

BG: You are from the Northeast, a Massachusetts guy. What’s the biggest difference between the Northeast and Lexington, Ky.?

NN: The biggest difference I’d have to say is probably the different lifestyle. It’s a lot different in the Northeast than in the South. It’s a lot more laid back with the Southern hospitality, different type of food and you really have to get accustomed to it. It’s really a good transition to make, gets you out there seeing different lifestyles. It was really a great transition.
