The Philadelphia 76ers will be getting the 6’10” Nerlens Noel’s shot blocking and all around hustle, but they will also be getting a guy with a huge heart.
If you remember back to the Maryland game in the Barclays Classic in Brooklyn, New York, a time where the northeastern United States was devastated by Hurricane Sandy, a sign in the crowd displayed just how important Kentucky tickets were.
Robin Liberatore, holding the sign, and her husband Keith received an unexpected surprise during the NBA Draft when they got a call from Noel to take them out to dinner.
Keith and Robin lost their home during Sandy and it obviously had a lasting effect on Nerlens.
Noel remembered the poster from the game on November 9th and took both Robin and Keith out to Tre Dici in New York City.
The Philadelphia community is not only receiving a great basketball player in Nerlens Noel, but a great person as well.
