Joker Phillips was fired just yesterday and names are already starting to circulate on twitter of possible candidates to be the head football coach at Kentucky.
Here are some of the tweets, including a couple from me since yesterday.
A name to watch in the Kentucky football coaching search: San Jose State’s Mike MacIntyre. bit.ly/WpWKyV

Another out-there name for UK I’ve now heard twice: New England Patriots OC Josh McDaniels. Disciple of genius, had Ohio roots.

Have been told Dirk Koetter is VERY interested in UK job from good source.

FWIW: Some of my friends on-campus at Alabama saw Kentucky head in to the Alabama football offices. Presumably there to see Kirby Smart

A name I heard last night for UK’s Football coaching search is Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden. Source told me he is high on list.

One name I heard you can throw out of the conversation:
Just spoke to a source close to UK that says Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville would be a long shot for football job.
